Join us for the 2021 Melville-Nelles-Hoffmann Lecture in Environmental History.
This year's speakers will be Chief Lorraine Cobiness of the Niisaachewan First Nation and Professor Brittany Luby from University of Guelph. They will discuss the history and effects of hydro-electric development and industrial pollution in the Lake of the Woods area on Indigenous communities who live along the Winnipeg River.
Professor Luby will share research from her new book, Dammed: The Politics of Loss and Survival in Anishinaabe Territory.
All are welcome to attend.
